Why is SPARX the smarter piggy bank?
SPARX serves as a savings account, like your trusty piggy bank. Sparx, however, is smarter because it lets your bite-sized savings earn and grow, and it provides insurance coverage!
Can I withdraw my money from SPARX?

SPARX teaches the discipline of savings starting at an early age. It teaches kids the concept of saving and how these savings can grow over time. Withdrawing before the maturity age is discouraged because your kid won’t be enjoying the full benefits compared to withdrawing only upon maturity of the SPARX account.

With its insurance component, SPARX has cash values that parents can tap for any sudden need. If you really need to withdraw before the SPARX maturity, you can call 750-LIFE to ask assistance.

Does my money earn interest with SPARX?

Yes, SPARX gives a guaranteed interest rate earned over the full maturity period up to 80%. The money with SPARX earns best when it is left to mature.

How do I avail of SPARX?  Where can I get SPARX cards?

Can I transfer the SPARX account to my other children?

SPARX has a life insurance component unique to each child.  Similar to other insurance policies, SPARX does not allow for reassignment.  The good news is while reassignment is out of the question, SPARX can be easily availed of because of its low entry requirement, just P100, which means you can surely get SPARX for all your children without difficulty.

When can my child begin having a SPARX account?

The earlier the better. The earliest would be 14 days after birth. You can begin your child’s SPARX account right then.

Aside from Savings and Insurance, what other benefits do I get from SPARX?

As a parent, you need tools to teach your child the value of savings. SPARX is also a teaching and learning instrument for money smarts.

Who backs SPARX financially?

SPARX is backed by Pioneer Life, the life insurance company of the Pioneer Group, led by Pioneer Insurance & Surety Corp., a top non-life insurer with assets close to P7 billion.

Is SPARX available across the Philippines?

Yes and no.

If you talk about SPARX cardless transactions, yes you can avail of SPARX almost anywhere in the country where our partner banks are present.

However, if you refer to SPARX cards, at the moment, they are officially distributed in Metro Manila.

Can I get multiple SPARX accounts for my kid?

Especially for the younger ages, like 0 to 3 years old, kids may have multiple SPARX  accounts for as long as the various accounts mature at different ages.  Example, a 2 year old girl may have a SPARX that matures at age 7 and another at age 14.

How is SPARX different from a savings account?  An insurance policy?

Unlike savings account, SPARX allows you to start your child’s savings with the easy- on- the- pocket amount of  P100.00.  No banking facility will allow you to start a savings account for that amount.  SPARX is also designed to help you with your medium to long term savings goal, reducing the temptation to withdraw, break the growth of the money saved and use it for something that’s not originally intended.

Also, unlike traditional insurance, there are no fixed payment schedules. You can top up any time you want. Insurance coverage from the activated cards will no longer lapse even if you stop topping up. Of course, your child’s savings and insurance coverage increase when you do top up.
